General Foreman





About this Role:

This foreman role, working on a large infrastructure and groundworks package for a privately owned civil engineering contractor on the outskirts of Salisbury.

Working with the site team you will work with the engineer and quantity surveyor to ensure the project is delivered to the highest quality, on time and within budget. Ideally the right candidate will have experience of running large groundworks packages and is competent with reading drawings, directing sub-contractors and own labour force.

You will have the ability to look ahead driving the project and problem solve on the way when and where is necessary.

About the Company/Client/Project:

Specialising in civil engineering infrastructure and groundworks packages between £10k - £40 million this contractor has been successfully competing in the market for 40 years.

Requirements including certificates and qualifications:

You will have preferably worked on a Civil-Engineering site with 2 years’ experience and the determination to push projects forward.            

SMSTS and CSCS Cards.

Likely to of come from a groundworks or machinery background.

Site supervision of your own team and sub-contractors.

Co-ordinate works and problem solving.

Ability to read drawings.

Managing Health and Safety on site.

Basic IT skills.

Help with daily briefings.

Toolbox talks.

Permits to work.
