About this Role:
An ambitious Site Manager is required to work with the team on a £25m new build commercial office project in Kings Cross, London.
The construction of a 10 storey RC framed building with envelope and Cat A fit out to provide new office space Work is well underway and runs through until hand over at the end of the year.
Reporting to the Project Manager and Senior Site Manager, you will be one of 2 other Site Managers responsible for managing site based construction activities in your area, including:
Short-term programming of works
Coordination of trade sub-contractors
Input to design development
Ensuring Health and safety
Review of method statements and risk assessments (RAMS)
Dealing with Logistics, deliveries, etc. Liaison with base staff/security
Reporting on progress against program
Snagging and handover
About the Company/Client/Project:
The contractor is the busy London and South regional office of a larger main contractor group with £75m annual turnover, and a proven track record in the delivery of medium sized new build and refurbishment schemes from £15m to £30m in the commercial, industrial and further education sectors.
The patch focus includes London and Home Counties secured through a mixture of negotiated schemes and competitive tenders, with a good pipeline of work in the West London and Thames Valley areas.
The successful candidate will be ambitious, highly motivated, proactive, demonstrating excellent technical, organisational, man-management, communication and communication skills. Proven track record of work for a top twenty main contractor advantageous.
Ideally from a trades, construction management or engineering background with a sharp eye for detail and finishes, you will possess strong planning and problem solving ability, with a positive, ‘get it right first time’ approach.
This role would suit an ambitious Site Manager with previous experience on a large new build RC framed project and some fit out experience.
You will possess your SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications for this role.
