About this Role:
As a Site Manager for this expanding contractor you will work with the foreman and engineer to drive projects to ensure they are completed within budget and on time. This role will see you working on projects ranging from £50k to £5mil. These include 278 works, highway works, geotechnical embankment repairs, pinch point/junction upgrades, SI works, bridges repairs and replacements and one-off highway schemes.
You will ideally have the experience of self-delivering projects running your own labour force and sub-contractors and also be required to assist with tendering for projects, liaising with the client and sending out tender enquiries to specialist subcontractors. Therefore you will work with the foreman to ensure projects are completed within budget and deadlines from both office and site.

The contractor that has seen turnover grow from £15m to £50m in the last 3 years across the South of England. The contractor specialises in self-delivering projects across the M25, North Surrey, East & West Sussex and Kent. They also undertake works outside of these areas, with schemes currently in Kettering, Northampton, Rickmansworth Hertfordshire, Reading Hampshire and Great Yarmouth.
Requirements including certificates and qualifications:
You will ideally have a civil engineering background with highway and infrastructure experience. Duties will include:
Ensure the systems in place comply with the national standard.
Good with Microsoft Project.
Familiar with material take offs.
Producing WPP/RAMS and ITP’s
CSCS Card and SMSTS.
