About this Role:
We have an immediate requirement for a permanent Site Manager to work for a regional contractor; their work is based in the Hampshire, Dorset and Wiltshire areas. This organisation has multiple projects running and/or starting nearby, that you may be required to support with when needed.
Their scope of work includes: Commercial builds, with a large amount of earthworks and a steel frame structure, £5m roundabout widening, water treatment sites for new developments including some foul connections, as well as work naval base civil works and repeat business within the airports.
The job values come to a maximum of £7-8m - lots of works will be from £500k to a few million.
With the company annual turnover at £40-£45m a year and growing, they are looking to expand their team on a permanent basis. As the Site Manager for this company you will be expected to run a couple of sites at one time, splitting your time traveling between the live projects.
- You will be well versed in the interpretations of drawings and translating these into physical work.
- Dealing with and reporting day to day technical issues that may arise.
- Ensuring all self-certification of works is carried out on time.
- Reporting to the Contracts manager.
The physical work on main project will include:
• New commercial Build
• Steel frame structure
• 278 works into site.
• Water Treatment Sites.
• Highways and infrastructure.
To be successful for this role you will ideally come from an engineering background and have strong experience of self delivering projects, being on site and reporting back to the Contracts Manager on a variety of different projects.
About the Company/Client/Project:
The client is a Regional Civil Engineering Contractor. Their core focus is on delivering complex infrastructure projects but also cover engineering with highways & bridges, commercial building, utilities, education and defence schemes forming the bulk of their workload.
Requirements including certificates and qualifications:
A BSc in Civil Engineering or equivalent, with recent relevant experience in a similar role.
HNC or HND in Civil Engineering
