About this Role:
We have a position for a site engineer (non trackside) to work on a network rail scheme. The works involve embankment stabilisation and improvement works to include sheet piled retaining walls, extensive earth works, construction of a haul road and piling maps.
To be considered for this role you are required to have proven experience of working as a setting out engineer on site and therefore be capable of reading drawings, interpreting and translating works information into setting out on site.
Duties will include:
Providing detailed and accurate setting out using total station surveying equipment. .
Ensure that the works are constructed in accordance with the contract drawings and specification.
Manage site dimensional control ensuring that contractors have the facilities for setting out of the works
Plan and programme the section of the works,
Ensuring that the section of work is undertaken safely and in accordance with Health, Safety & Environmental legislation and the site HSE plans.
Communicate with foremen and gangers to ensure full understanding of information provided
Experience in working on civil engineering projects in a similar role would be beneficial.

Requirements including certificates and qualifications:
Candidates will have proven experience of working as an engineer on rail projects.
HNC/HND/Degree in Civil Engineering desirable. Must be a team player but also able to work on own initiative, minimum CSCS card holder and PTS
