About this Role:
A regional civil engineering contractor are looking for additional engineering staff to join the business. The contractor’s head office is situated in Hampshire and work with clients in the surrounding regions including Dorset, Wiltshire, West Sussex and Berkshire however depending on where you’re based you will work on projects in your area (up to 1hour from home). They operate in a range of civil engineering environments enabling you to gather experience across different projects – they have a dedicated Engineering Manager that will offer support and training.
Traditionally the business deliver projects in the region of £3 million - £8 million however have the proven capacity to deliver schemes up to £15 million. They act as the principle contractor on all of their projects and self-deliver the work – previous experience of self-delivery is favourable but not essential.
Some of their live projects include a town centre regeneration scheme (c£5 million); waste water treatment works (c£10 million per annum); phased sea defence work; land reclamation; developer lead infrastructure and flood alleviation.
Duties to include:
- Responsible for setting out
- Co-ordinate gangs to ensure work is being delivered efficiently
- Ensure quality is met in accordance with specification
- Operate and promote a high level of health and safety
- Calculate take-offs
- Plan and schedule work efficiently to ensure deadlines are met in accordance to the program
- Co-ordinating the technical aspects of package handovers

Requirements including certificates and qualifications:
Ideally you will hold minimum of HNC/HND Civil Engineering qualification.
