About this Role:
We have a requirement for a site engineer to start on Monday 9th July on a freelance/contract basis.
Working for the principle civil engineering contractor you will be required to set out new kerbs, lighting columns, roads, gullies, pile caps, ducting, catch pits and also shutter heights for formwork. The project involves the improvement of a railway station and involves new roads and a bridge.
Candidates must be competent with using a robotic total station; co-ordinates have been programmed in but knowledge and of using AutoCAD is always beneficial.
You will be required to work alongside a site manager and General Foreman but must be confident working alone and using your own initiative.
Duties will include keeping up date Q/A records, as built drawings, setting out and coordinating with the ground force.

The company are a busy and expanding civil engineering contractor working across the rail, airports, water and highways sector. They have regional offices throughout the UK.
