About this Role:
This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Site Agent to join a diverse team improving the Wessex route covering South West London and the south coast including Hampshire, Surrey, Berkshire and their surrounding counties. The role will require you to plan and manage the delivery of projects for Network Rail’s CP6 Framework such as platform extensions, station adjustments, geotechnical repairs, drainage upgrades, flood alleviation and more.
Reporting to the Contracts Manager you’ll manage your delivery team and be responsible for liaising with the client (Network Rail) and stakeholders, design development throughout, advising on the construction methodology with the client, programming, assisting the commercial team on pricing, KPI management and internal risk & opportunity reporting to senior management.
You’ll manage the site teams traditionally consisting of Site Engineer and General Foreman to ensure they are working inline with the programme and thorough commercial control of the project throughout the early stages to handover, plus input of negotiating further packages of work.
Leading by example you will offer in depth support to your commercial and operational team to aid their career development as well as maximising the efficiency and profits across the framework.
Projects are delivered by a large directly employed workforce and use of specialist subcontractors under a bespoke Network Rail Contract.

Requirements including certificates and qualifications:
You will hold a minimum of HNC/HND Civil Engineering qualification and ideally have a technical engineering background in a rail environment.
