About this Role:
Site Agent required to deliver comprehensive civil engineering and highways projects across Gloucestershire and surrounding counties for a regional civil engineering contractor. Ideally they are looking for an experienced site agent or a sub-agent looking to take the next step in their career to take responsibility for the successful delivery of work and continuous development of building relationships with new and existing clients.
The business currently have ongoing infrastructure and section 278 works, waste and energy schemes and public realm projects which they are seeking a Site Agent for. Traditionally you will report to the Contracts Manager and be responsible for delivering civil engineering schemes from conception to completion up to £5 million for clients including local councils, government bodies and developers.
Write risk assessment and method statements
Management of the commercial team with site change control and ensuring all cost, value and change control is captured in line with the contract.
Documentation control including Health and Safety files
Attend monthly progress meetings with clients and stakeholders
Liaising with clients to ensure work is completed to specification
Programming works using MS projects
Manage the direct labour force and specialist subcontractors
Ideally you will have experience using the NEC form of contract to raise early warnings and compensation events to maximise profits in the terms of the contract.

The role is to work with the regional Gloucestershire based company. They are a comprehensive civil engineering contractor specialising in one-off highways schemes, highways maintenance, enabling works, section 278 projects and more. The business has been successfully trading for over 50 years’ in the region, with an annual turnover in circa £25 million.
Requirements including certificates and qualifications:
You will hold a minimum of HNC/HND Civil Engineering qualification and ideally will have a technical engineering background.
