Senior Site Manager
About this Role:
Ambitious Senior Site Manager required to work as No2 to the Project Manager on a £10m new build SEN School in Dorset; Works are due to commence on site later this year, with demolition and enabling works initially, then main works early next year for a 14 months programme of works.
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing all site based construction activities including short-term programming of works, health and safety, review of method statements, risk assessments, call off of materials, logistics, quality control, client liaison, coordination meetings, reporting on progress against program, etc, snagging and handover.
About the Company/Client/Project:
The contractor is a busy national contractor with a £100m annual turnover in the southern region, and a proven track record in the delivery of new build and refurbishment schemes in the education, local authority, commercial and healthcare sectors.
Typical patch covers Dorset, Hampshire, Wiltshire, etc.
Requirements including certificates and qualifications:
The successful candidate will have 5-8+ years of experience as a Site Manager, and an established and ambitious Senior Site Manager. You will be highly motivated, proactive, demonstrating excellent technical, organisational, man-management, communication and communication skills. Proven track record of work for a top twenty main contractor advantageous.
Ideally from a construction management or engineering background with a sharp eye for detail, you will possess excellent planning and problem solving ability, with a positive, ‘get it right first time’ approach.
You will possess your SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications for this role.
