Senior Site Manager
About this Role:
Ambitious/experienced Senior Site Manager required to work closely with the Project Manager and team on a £25m new post graduate faculty building in Oxford. You will be responsible for running the site, to manage the construction from initial start on handover in summer 2021. The project secured and due to commence on site in October. Internal fit out of the building will include including offices, workshops and laboratories.
Working closely with the Project Manager you will be responsible for managing all site based construction activities, including input to design coordination, mid and short-term programming of works, logistics, health and safety, review of method statements, risk assessments, call off of materials, quality control, client liaison, coordination meetings, reporting on progress against program, issue resolution, management of site team including site managers and engineer, etc, snagging and handover.

About the Company/Client/Project:
The role is with the busy South East regional office of this national main contractor with an excess of £200m annual turnover, and a solid pipeline of work in the Oxford and Thames Valley areas predominantly university faculty buildings, commercial offices, hospitality andleisure, etc.
Requirements including certificates and qualifications:
The successful candidate will be highly motivated, proactive, demonstrating excellent technical, organisational, man-management, and communication skills. Proven track record of work for a top twenty main contractor advantageous.
Ideally from a trades, construction management or engineering background with a sharp eye for detail and finishes, you will possess strong planning and problem solving ability, with a positive, ‘get it right first time’ approach.
You will possess your SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications for this role.
