Senior Quantity Surveyor
About this Role:
This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a regional civil engineering contractor on the South Coast. The role will give you the opportunity to work on diverse projects from specialist marine civil engineering projects including port expansions and sea defence structures to town centre regenerations, flood alleviation schemes and bespoke works for the Ministry of Defence.
You will report to a Managing Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager throughout the project cycle from early contractor involvement to final accounts. You will work closely with the site team to manage costs and maximise the profitability of the project within the terms of an NEC3 contract, win repeat business and additional work by developing relationships with new and existing clients.
The business operate as a principle contractor and self-deliver their projects - traditionally projects range in value between £1.5m - £7.5 million across Hampshire, Wiltshire, Dorset and have the proven capabilities of delivering schemes circa £18 million.
Duties will include:
Producing accurate and timely reports
Procurement of specialist subcontractors, plant and materials
Supervising the performance of the commercial aspects of projects
Cost and value reporting
Lead negotiation with settlement of disputes in relation to customer and supplier accounts
Producing commercial reports to present to senior management

Requirements including certificates and qualifications:
You will hold a minimum of HNC/HND Quantity Surveying, or other relevant qualification and have a good understanding of working with NEC3 contracts.
