About this Role:

Experienced Senior Project Manager required by the Hampshire regional office of this busy main contractor. 

The initial project will potentially be the construction of a large new build secondary school.

Scope of work for this main contractor will include projects up to £35m in value in the secondary and higher education sector, student accommodation, high spec residential and leisure sectors in the Hampshire and M3 corridor / lower Surrey / Berks areas.

As Senior Project Manager within the business, you will be responsible for the second stage tender and subsequent on site delivery of the larger schemes that the region delivers.  Reporting to the Regional Director, you will be responsible for managing the client relationship throughout, and the project delivery through second stage preconstruction phase, through to start on site and then construction though to handover. 

You will lead your team holding ultimate responsibility for client liaison, design development, construction methodology and programming of works, the smooth and timely progress of construction on site, and financial control of the project with the commercial team plus safety, quality control and delivery on time.

About the Company/Client/Project:

The client is the busy regional office of a national main contractor, with a turnover in excess of £80m in the region, with secured workload in the key sectors, and excellent pipeline of work. 

Projects range in size from £15m to £35m, secured through a mixture of national and regional frameworks, negotiated schemes with repeat clients, competitive tenders, and work for the investment arm of the business. 

Requirements including certificates and qualifications:

You will ideally be an experienced Project Manager with a proven track record within a major contracting organisation, able to deliver design & build schemes up to £25m+ in value.  Key attributes will include excellent client, design team and site team management ability, technical, contractual and commercial knowledge, plus focus and drive.
