About this Role:
A growing civil engineering contractor are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their infrastructure division and deliver a £14 million highway project. With the project commencing imminently they are looking for someone to have experience with self-delivering civil engineering projects, specifically highways.
Works compromises of widening the motorway junction, the construction of a new roundabout, construction of a new bridge and new pedestrian/cycle facilities and associated street furniture.
You will be commercially aware whilst delivering the project under the NEC form of contract and be competent with raising early warnings and compensation events. Working with the Planner and client you will assist in producing a timely and efficient programme.
Successful delivering the project there is an outstanding opportunity to progress into a Contracts Manager role overseeing further work in the South West.
You will report to the visiting Contracts Manager and manage your site team including 2 Section Agents, Works Manager, General Foreman and Engineers.

About the Company/Client/Project:
A comprehensive civil engineering contractor with a strong presence within rail and infrastructure self-delivering one-off projects up to £70 million. They are currently turning over in circa £230 million across the South of England for Highways England, Network Rail, private sector clients and local authorities – they have also secured work on the Routes to Market framework.
Requirements including certificates and qualifications:
Preferably you will hold minimum of HNC/HND Civil Engineering qualification and experience of self-delivering civil engineering projects is essential.
