About this Role:
Experienced Project Manager required by the Hampshire South Coast office of this busy main contractor, initially to manage the phased refurbishment of two live university faculty buildings.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, and working with your Site team, you will be responsible for managing the project with work on multiple work fronts, through to handover in 20209. The scheme is secured and due to start on site shortly in the spring.
The scheme is a design and build contract, working in a live operating environment, and requiring regular client and end user liaison, detailed planning and execution of works on site, giving due consideration for management of area closures, noise, dust, vibrations, etc, and achieving key programme and phased handover dates throughout. Challenges include the restricted access of the site and the fast track nature of the construction.
The role will involve regular client liaison, construction methodology, sequencing and programming of works, raising TQs and RFIs with the Design Manager and managing the flow of information, health and safety, quality control, input to procurement, identifying and mitigating potential risks, issue resolution, and ensuring delivery of the scheme on specification, programme and budget.
Previous experience of refurbishment works in a live operating building would be highly advantageous.
