About this Role:

Experienced Project Manager required to work for a construction specialist who have been running for 15 years within the residential and commercial sector throughout the Dorset region.

Typical projects can be bespoke houses through to a mixed use development consisting of houses and flats with commercial/retail units beneath of values up to £4M

Reporting to the Construction Manager with full responsibility for manging the project from pre-construction including the programming of works, buildability, logistics planning, health and safety, quality control, detailed design development with the client through to completion and handover.

This is a great opportunity to work for a strong regional contractor with a turnover of £18M and secured work for 2018.

This will give you the opportunity to progress into a Contracts Manager role and as such you will be working across 2-3 sites with dedicated site teams reporting into you.

Requirements including certificates and qualifications:

The successful candidate will be highly motivated, proactive, demonstrating excellent technical, organisational, man-management, communication and communication skills.  Proven track record of work for a top twenty main contractor advantageous.

Ideally from a trades, construction management or engineering background with a sharp eye for detail and finishes, you will possess strong planning and problem solving ability, with a positive, ‘get it right first time’ approach.

You must have experience of working on residential and commercial projects.

High standards, attention to detail and the drive will be very well rewarded with excellent salary, car allowance, holidays and a bonus scheme based on company performance of between 7-12% as well as promotional and development prospects.

Minimum HNC/HND Building Studies or Construction related degree

CSCS

SMSTS or IOSH

First aid

Experience of leading a team

Proven skills in programme management
