Description

About this Role:

Construction Project Planner required to work for a Tier 1 construction company in the South East and London areas.

Ideally you will be based within commuting distance of Guildford and Central London, however, for the right person there is an element of flexibility.

You will be reporting to the Head of Planning working at pre-qualification, pre-construction and construction stages.

There will be travelling across the South East to various sites and regional offices.

You will be working on multiple tender, pre-construction and live projects.

Responsibilities:

Ensure programme content and functionality is compliant with planning processes and procedures

Provide full life cycle planning support to multiple projects at various stages

Review documents, specifications and scopes

Provide detailed tender programmes, method statements and logistics proposals for tender submissions

Provide outline plans ad methodologies at tender stage

Visit sites to ascertain conditions and constraints when preparing tenders

Promote the company at tender and contract interviews

Produce fully integrated design, procurement and construction stage contract programmes

Identify alternative methodologies/sequences

Ascertain and report progress on pre-construction and live projects

Develop construction, completion and mitigation programmes at relevant stages

Support the business in claims and/or disputes

A leading construction company, carrying out building and infrastructure works across the UK through the extensive knowledge and expertise of several regional offices.

Working within commercial, MoJ, MoD, education, health, extra care, retail, leisure and culture sectors.

Projects values average £70M

 

Requirements including certificates and qualifications:

Main contractor planning experience

Working knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts

Advantageous to have worked within the education and healthcare sectors

2 stage tendering experience would be preferable

Claims experience would be preferable but not essential

Proficient in Asta, MS Project and MS Office

Full UK driving licence

Degree/HNC qualified or equivalent

Candidates must be able to prove their eligibility to work in the UK
