About this Role:

My client urgently requires an Experienced M+E manager with a mechanical background for the £7.5 mill refurbishment of a live hospital with new build theatre on site form January for the next 15 months.  

About the Company/Client/Project:

The project consists of a new build framed and steel framed theatre buildings over a number floors and a concurrent re clad and refurbishment of an existing ward all in a live hospital environment.

Reporting to the project  lead you will be out on site Managing the  mechanical and electrical  sub-contractors from technical  queries  to inspecting the quality of work and dealing with the day to day management of sub-contractors  works  alongside the structural  / civils and build teams .

You will be responsible for both mechanical and some electrical services installation for the scheme, being mainly responsible for the out on site coordination on a day to day basis. In effect you are ensuring the coordination matches up with your senior managers and clients specifications over the course of the course of the project as the site team grows.

Requirements including certificates and qualifications:

Candidates are welcomed from a building services Degree qualified Carrere path or from a trades background, more important is having significant start to finish major project experience delivering the services packages for main contractors on jobs   in excess of £ 5 million in the past.

you will have previously worked for either a main contactor or with an M&E sub-contractor on similar sized high profile schemes looking after sub-contractors  form initial induction to daily walk rounds and problem solving though to project updates in the weekly progress meetings .

This project is live and underway with 15 months of construction and a commissioning period also planned in.

Candidates   will possess excellent technical knowledge,  communication and negotiation skills, strong planning and problem solving ability, initiative and a positive approach, In terms of character, you will be a highly driven, positive team player, ambitious and determined, resourceful and perform well under pressure

You will ideally have a proven track record of successful major project delivery and up to date SMSTS CSCS and 1st aid.
