Description

About this Role:

Experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor required for a leading Civil Engineering contractor. From road to rail, housing to healthcare they strive to provide the best experience to all customers and employees throughout the creation. You will help, manage and assist your commercial team on assigned contracts to ensure a full commercial service is provided and profits are maximised. Some of your duties will include:

Ensure that commercial teams give their respective project managers the correct advice on financial performance identifying and corrective action that needs to be taken.

Manage commercial teams to ensure all allocated projects have timely valuations and payments of work completed from suppliers and to customers in accordance with the contract.

Ensure assigned bids have a robust commercial submission on contractual terms and conditions

Create an environment where ideas are freely expressed to improve procedures and efficiency

Manage individual performance through PDP’s, creating a positive learning atmosphere where lessons are learnt without fear of recrimination.

Requirements including certificates and qualifications:

You will hold a minimum of HNC/HND Civil Engineering qualification with extensive knowledge in the Civil Engineering industry.

Contract claims experience

Producing commercial reports.

Risk management.

Full knowledge of NEC Contracts.

Experience of supervising other commercial staff.

CSCS Card

Candidates must be able to prove their eligibility to work in the UK
