About this Role:
My client urgently requires an Experienced M+E manager to work on a high tech R&D project in Wiltshire from initial construction phases through to commissioning on site with the main contractor project team on this 2 year £100 million project.
About the Company/Client/Project:
My client’s projects consist of government, industrial and commercial projects across the UK from £5 – £100 million in value and we are looking for an experienced M+E manager to manage the technical information on the installation, QA, and commissioning of a high tech project live and on site for the next 24 months.
You will be reporting to the project manager to ensure site teams are working safely and effectively whilst dealing with the short term programme updates, daily site walk rounds, and sub contractor meetings to ensure the project is completed on time and to budget.
As well as the significant M+E packages you will be working alongside the civils, structural, and architectural teams to achieve a quality finish and successful handover of areas as the out on site supervisor ensuring the clients brief is met.
Requirements including certificates and qualifications:
Candidates are welcomed from a mechanical, electrical or HVAC background whether from a trades or building services Degree qualified Career path.
You will have good experience with QA on M+E packages and be an out on site type used to managing sub-contractors both M+E from pre-start meetings to technical queries and delivery/QA and commissioning, or the services packages.
More important is having significant start to finish project experience delivering the services packages for main contractors on jobs in industrial or commercial environments in excess of £50 million in the past as the presence for the main contractor out on site.
You will have previously worked for either a respected UK main contractor or with an M&E sub-contractor on similar sized companies and in a senior role looking after sub-contractors from pre-start technical meetings through to problem solving and project updates in the weekly progress meetings.
Candidates will possess excellent technical knowledge, be IT literate and have good communication and negotiation skills, strong planning and problem solving ability.
In terms of character, you will be a highly driven, positive team player, ambitious and determined, resourceful and perform well under pressure.
