About this Role:

We have a vacancy for a site based foreman/works manager with experience of working in road/public realm works and infrastructure schemes. This scheme involves the construction of footpath widening and designated cycle path construction. You will be required to work as the number one lead on site managing a couple of gangs self-delivering the works with direct labour force.

You are likely to come from a ground works background but now be ‘off the tools’ and have proven experience of managing sites. You will be required to have Knowledge of traffic management, be able to read construction drawings, deal with any technical queries on site and ensure works are being carried out in accordance to the Risk assessments and method statements. Duties will include tool box talks, site briefings, plant checks, ordering materials, liaison with general public and stakeholders. All H &S on site including paperwork. Must also be IT literate.

About the Company/Client/Project:

The company are a regional civil engineering contractor working across the south of England, they work on high speed roads, rail, MOD, and ground works.

Requirements including certificates and qualifications:

Civil engineering experience, site management, road works knowledge, surfacing experience, SSSTS or SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid.
