About this Role:

Experienced Estimator required to work with a Regional Contractor based in Dorset.

You will be working on projects within the education, healthcare, hotels and leisure, residential, commercial, industrial, retail and community sectors with project values between £2M - £25 million on a design and build basis.

Working on projects across Dorset and Hampshire you will report to the Managing Director within the estimating team to achieve continued success for this established company.

This is an opportunity to join a very busy contractor with a strong presence within the regions.

You will be working on negotiated, single and two stage tenders.

The ideal candidate will have track record in a similar role and will have delivered tenders to a value of £20M +

Duties will include but will not be limited to:

Prepare work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.

Identify labour, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.

Compute costs by analysing labour, material, and time requirements.

Resolve discrepancies by collecting and analysing information.

Present prepared estimate by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information.

Prepare special reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing information and trends.

Maintain cost data base by entering and backing up data.

Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications.

About the Company/Client/Project:

A regional contractor with over 40 years’ experience in the construction industry working within the education, healthcare, hotels and leisure, residential, commercial, industrial, retail and community sectors on projects up to £25M

Projects include care homes, hotels, residential, commercial units, education and industrial units.

The business is growing and has a vision to grow the turnover and profits by consistently delivering at a high level and providing the best value for their clients.

2019 has seen a turnover of £50M with a predicted £55M for 2020

Requirements including certificates and qualifications:

You will need to have broad construction knowledge ideally both private and public sectors.

You will have worked on projects up to a minimum of £20M in value

You will have experience of working on negotiated, single stage and 2 stage tenders.

You will be from a construction background or hold a HNC/HND in construction.
