About this Role:
Estimating Assistant required by the busy Southampton office of this main contractor to work with and support the Estimating and Preconstruction team.
You will be responsible for:
Typing up and issuing sub-contractor tender enquiries for each package.
Logging enquiries, package tender returns and chasing for outstanding information.
Compiling tender information and preparing excel spreadsheets.
Administration duties to support the team, including typing reports and documents, taking and
producing meeting minutes, scanning and filing as required, compiling information.
Assisting with the compilation of tender documents.
About the Company/Client/Project:
This role is with the busy regional office of a Southern main contracting group, with an annual turnover of £80m in the South Coast region, with work stream predominantly in the education, schools and colleges, student accommodation, commercial, industrial, leisure and retirement sectors.
Requirements including certificates and qualifications:
You will ideally have previous experience in the role for a main contractor or similar, plus be computer literate, quick and efficient with MS Excel and Word and with excellent, organisation and communication skills, have a positive can-do approach, plus the ability and drive to function well under pressure.
The nature of the role means that you will be regularly working towards key deadlines.
