Design Coordinator

About this Role:
As Design Coordinator you will be working for a Regional Contractor on a £13M new build hotel project based on site in Oxford.
You will work with the on site project team and have a direct link to the Design Manager in the Regional head office.
This is a 90 week project and after this you could be working on a variety of projects within the education, healthcare, hotels and leisure, residential, commercial, industrial, retail and community sectors with project values between £600K - £10 million on a design and build basis.
Duties will include but will not be limited to:
Coordination & liaison with the design team regarding design, drawing issues, program.
Working with the design team and the Building Control Officers to clear all Building Control.
Conditions to ensure certification.
Coordination & liaison with the architects and local planning authority to clear any planning conditions.
Providing relevant information to & instructing third party consultants to produce SAP/EPC ratings.
Working with consultants to achieve Code for Sustainable Homes certification.
Arranging geo-technical surveys to be carried out.
Collecting & ensuring relevant information for the final Health & Safety File and O & M’s is available.
Understanding the Employers Requirements and other associated documents and drawing up qualification schedules.
Working closely with surveyors to ensure costs are in budget.
Providing relevant information to clients and CDM Coordinators for project handover

Requirements including certificates and qualifications:
Ideally you will have some main contracting experience previously and this role will offer progression to design management for the right individual.
