About this Role:
This is an outstanding opportunity to join a reputable business that offers a clear route of progression into senior management. Due to the increasing workload at the start of 2020 the business are looking to appoint an additional Contracts Manager to oversee a portfolio of highway improvement schemes up totalling circa £12 million per annum. You will be required to take ownership and full accountability for projects on the M25 network for Connect Plus.
The role will suit an established Contracts Manager or a Project Manager looking to take a step into senior management and be accountable for the entirety of the contracts. You will be accountable for leading the operational team responsible for delivering a portfolio of projects between £250k to £5 million.
Key duties will include:
Promote and present the professional company image to develop the relationship with the client, delivery team and stakeholders as the main point of contact
Lead the cost, value and forecasting reports to senior management
Ensure the most effective resource is in place for contracts
Ensure health & safety, environmental and quality processes are adhered to throughout the framework
Monitor the progress of contracts throughout and report accordingly
Attend regular project review meetings to the client, subcontractors and designers
Have an input throughout the process of each tender
Lead performance reviews and provide training, development for employees
You’ll manage the delivery team and have commercial control of the projects throughout the early stages to handover with an input of negotiating further packages of work. All projects are delivered under an NEC3 contract, previous experience and a good understanding of the contract is essential.
Leading by example you will offer in depth support to your commercial and operational team to aid their career development as well as maximising the efficiency and profits across the framework.

Requirements including certificates and qualifications:
You will hold a minimum of HNC/HND Civil Engineering qualification and ideally have a technical engineering background with experience of working with NEC contracts.
