About this Role:
Our client is expanding after a successful year turning over £800 million as a main contractor and this South East office is now looking for experienced Site Managers to manage the delivery of the £160 million of secured work for 2018.
The successful candidate will be Working on projects from Framework academies to commercial office blocks, hotels and industrial / leisure projects between £ 20 – 75 million in value on a design and build basis.
Based in the Reading office on projects across the South East with regular travel to sites you will Report to the Contract Manager and work with the project teams to achieve continued success for this established company.
You will be responsible for:
Managing site based construction activities for your section/buildings
short-term programming of works
health and safety
review of method statements
risk assessments
call off of materials
site logistics
quality control
inspection and test plans
client liaison
coordination meetings
reporting on progress against program
issue resolution
snagging and handover
This role is required due to the volume of work secured for 2018.
About the Company/Client/Project:
One of the largest privately-owned construction and engineering group in the UK with an annual turnover of £800M with division including retail, major projects and development with this South East office being established and growing organically over a number of years.
The successful candidate will be Working on projects from Framework academies to commercial office blocks, hotels and industrial / leisure projects between £ 20 – 75 million in value on a design and build basis.
Project examples range from an office fit out for a blue chip client in central London, to an existing theme park attraction using specialist materials such as sound deadening spray and sand filled doors to an education framework programme.
Requirements including certificates and qualifications:
You will have experience of working within the Construction industry for main contractors, specifically on D&B new build and refurbishment projects, more specifically within the Education, Leisure and Commercial sectors.
Candidates must:
hold or be working toward a construction / design related professional qualification - HNC/HND/Degree
be a member of a Professional Body
hold a relevant CSCS card
Hold a relevant SMSTS card
have main contractor experience on commercial projects form pre-con to delivery on site / handover
Large value project experience
