About this Role:

My client is immediately looking for a construction manager for a £7 mill steel framed industrial building on site and at piling stage to join the team.

Reporting to the project manager and responsible  for subcontractor  performance and keeping the job both to programme and budget for the duration of the scheme up to final snags and handover .

About the Company/Client/Project:

My client is a respected main contractor expanding in the south with a portfolio of industrial, commercial and leisure projects delivered successfully from £ 6 – 100 million in the past.

The role is with the project team on an industrial building at early stages so looking to get the muck shift gangs moving and drive the initial bulk earthworks , civils  through to the steel  frame building itself with services and associated  internal and external packagers

Managing the sub contactors form initial pre start meeting to hand over and responsible for :

QA on subcontractor works


Daily weekly and monthly performance meetings

Solving technical queries

Site safety

Short term programme updates

Logistics / site set -up

Sub-contractor coordination

Requirements including certificates and Qualifications:

Applicants must have up to date CSCS, SMSTS and 1st aid as well as experience with early stage muck shift on large fast paced  steel framed industrial building projects in excess of £5 million  in the past with subcontractor management for sub contract gangs on the various buildings, car park and services

This is an immediate start for the right suitably qualified candidate and with numerous ongoing work and the opportunity to work on this project for the rest of the years security of work is very much likely
