About this Role:

We are searching for a confident Bid Co-Ordinator to work for a Tier 1 Contractor who have a variety of live projects and have recently tendered for several more based in Swindon, London and surrounding and Surrey, Sussex and Hampshire, focussing on the rail, highways and infrastructure sectors. The successful candidate will primarily have experience of bid coordination in civil engineering, rail-related, highways and infrastructure projects.  A Civils Contractor site background and/or Engineering qualification are highly desirable.

As the Bid Co-Ordinator you are there to assist the Head of Submissions and Bid Manager on the Work Winning Team. You will be assisting with the preparation for PQQ’s and Tender submissions in line with the agreed deadlines. Ensuring all documentation is presented to the uniformly high standard, editing and proofreading submission documents as well as deputising for the Document Controller and other admin duties where required. The ability to produce/prepare graphics such as flow charts and organisation charts is required when supporting with Tender Submissions.

Responsibilities include:

Keep senior management informed of development on tender and gain acceptance of key decision points.

Manage PQQ’s in line with the level of experience and complexity of the bid, with support where needed

Ensure compliance with the work winning process and procedures to manage submissions and bid-related information.

Initiate / produce non-technical written responses for submissions including: references, case studies and CVs and project experience.

Manage inputs from contributors ensuring they are aware of deadlines and chase where necessary.

Maintain, organise and collate documents and supporting information for each proposal ensuring the information is of high quality.

Provide feedback to the Head of Submissions and Bid Managers of progress with the coordination and collation of information.

Production of the final submission in liaison with submission team members, ensuring the bid is delivered to the client on time on hard copy or email.

Other reasonable and normal duties associated with a Bid Co-Ordinator position as necessary to meet the needs of the business, as directed by the head of submissions.

About the Company/Client/Project:

The client is a Tier 1 Building & Civil Engineering Contractor. Their core focus is on delivering complex infrastructure projects but also cover engineering, mining and services extensively, with highways, rail, heavy civil engineering and infrastructure schemes forming the bulk of their workload.

Requirements including certificates and qualifications:

HND or HNC in a relevant subject or A BSc in Civil Engineering or equivalent, with recent relevant experience in a similar role.

Candidates must be able to prove their eligibility to work in the UK
