Job Description:
Working as No2 to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for all site based construction activities including:
• Site set up;
• Management of all sub-contractors on site;
• Short-term programming of works;
• Progress meetings;
• Client liaison;
• Health and safety;
• Quality control;
• Liaising with the quantity surveyor regards procurement of labour and materials, plus the financial success of the project;
• Handover of project on time, specification and budget;
Ideally from a carpentry or engineering background with a sharp eye for detail and finishes, you will possess strong planning and problem solving ability, with a positive, solution focussed approach.
Previous experience of working on an education project in a live campus environment would be an advantage. Typical scope of works for this contractor includes commercial, industrial, leisure and education projects in Berkshire/Hampshire/Surrey areas.
