Job Description:
This busy main contractor has an annual turnover in excess of £80m and a superb reputation for quality, safety and delivery of high spec prestigious commercial buildings on the south coast up to £40m. Current projects secured include offices, hotels student accommodation and college buildings.
You will be responsible for the management of all M&E installations including technical input throughout the design & construction phases, planning and programming of work, value engineering, client presentations, selection of sub-contractors, technical input with procurement, quality control, commissioning and handover.
This is a mainly head office based role as part of the senior management team, working with the Estimators, Bid Manager, Construction Manager and have regular liaison with Project and Commercial Managers and site construction teams.
You will ideally be from an M&E Sub-Contractor background originally with several years of experience as a Contract Engineer, Project Engineer & Manager on large new build or refurbishment installations. Subsequent experience of running Building Services with an established main contractor on schemes up to £25m is essential.
You will be motivated and well organised demonstrating a high level of computer literacy, excellent technical knowledge and understanding of construction and building processes, plus have excellent communication and man-management skills are essential.
