What NOT to include in your CV

1. Be concise – remove social habits or wordy life stories
2. Flow of information – Do not have gaps in employment eg travelling, sickness etc, explain why.
3. Emotion – Remove all emotive comments. These can be read very negatively.
4. Derogatory Statements – no matter what the circumstances do not create a “blame culture” in your CV.
5. Negativities – disregard your personal feelings re a bad subject or company or project, report only facts.
7. Referees – references supplied upon request is a far better way to conclude your CV. You may have to use different referees to highlight various skill sets, type of project etc.
8. Salaries and Benefits – various organisations have set salary bandings and benefits per position and you could exclude your application prematurely.
Remember your CV is a sales document to get you invited for interview. Keep it Simple, Factual and positive.
